JUST SAY NO !

Parenthood is the most challenging job you will ever have. There's a lot to think about before making this lifelong commitment. The lack of education on safe sex, whether it’s from parents, schools, or otherwise, is a cause of teenage pregnancy. Many teenagers are not taught about methods of birth control and how to deal with peers who pressure them into having sex before they are ready.

A person who decides to practice abstinence has decided not to have sex. Abstinence is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. Although many birth control methods can have high rates of success if used properly, they can fail occasionally. Practicing abstinence ensures that a girl won't become pregnant because there's no opportunity for sperm to fertilize an egg.

'These results show that there's a lot of ignorance among young people about sex and that too many are becoming involved in high-risk sexual behavior before they have had the chance to learn about issues such as how to resist pressure from partners, friends and the media to have sex. Schools, parents and professionals are failing young people by not giving them adequate support and information.'
